DAY IN LAMINES SHOES
"PLEASE HELP ME," These are the words of a child in Africa named Lamine.
Lamine lives in West Africa and goes to an all boys’ school called Karanic. Lamine
struggles in his everyday life. These are a few ways we could help him, by giving
him clean water, a comfortable bed, and better education.
Lamine needs access to clean healthy water. If he doesn’t get clean water
soon he could die. For example the water in Africa is full of mud this can cause
diseases and possibly death. Think about it, this could save the life of this child.
The second need of Lamine is good education; Lamine needs education because he doesn’t
have the opportunity at school. For example Lamine's school doesn’t teach him about math,
history, or literacy. They teach him about harvesting. He could use this better education so he
could have more opportunities.
Finally, Lamine sleeps on a brick bed with brick legs. His bed has no committer, no pillow,
and his mattress is about two and a half inches thick. That is what he has to sleep on. Would you
want to sleep on that bed I wouldn’t want too?
These are a few ways we could help Lamine, give clean water, a comfortable bed, and better
education. These needs are important for us to help him with, because he could be more
successful in life and be healthier. Without help Lamine probably couldn’t stay alive and be well.
It doesn’t matter if you only help a little that little could help a lot.
